RPS in Ireland

Project Communications

The importance of consultation on critical infrastructure projects as well as the area of environmental awareness has grown significantly in recent years. RPS has responded to this, through the development of its own communication section that specialises in stakeholder management and public communications: RPS Project Communications.

There are two main areas of work where RPS Project Communications deploys its unique skill set:

Development and implementation of environmental awareness campaigns at a national and regional level

Informing, consulting and involving stakeholders in major infrastructural projects from their conception, through implementation and on to completion.

Our innovative approach to communications and stakeholder management has been successfully applied to all disciplines including the area of climate change, waste management, water, biodiversity, transport, energy and environmental management. Our clients increasingly recognise that engaging with stakeholders is the most effective way to increase knowledge and awareness of environmental issues. Our experience has proven that this is the only way to achieve a sustainable change in attitude and a lasting change in behaviour.

RPS Project Communications has led a number of national awareness campaigns where our unique combination of technical and communications expertise has resulted in multi award campaigns that have inspired action throughout all stakeholder groups targeted by the projects.

As the demand for improved project performance intensifies, project managers have become acutely aware of the impact stakeholders can have on a project. The proper management of critical communication links between a project team and affected stakeholders on a project can lead to significantly improved results for all concerned.

RPS Project Communications provides its clients with internationally recognised communication services. Our broad skill set has been honed by a decade of managing the communications on some of Ireland’s most intricate, sensitive, contentious and ultimately successful projects for a wide range of clients in Ireland and overseas.

We have a proven record of making technical issues accessible to the general public and our ability to raise awareness and create understanding in our client’s audience is unmatched. Our consultation led approach to communication not only means the project message is absorbed and understood by stakeholders, but it achieves this in an extremely resource efficient manner.

Furthermore, the Project Communications team brings with it the strength of RPS Group. Our capacity to call into service one of the most highly regarded energy and sustainability practices in the Country reinforces our position as the strongest communications team available in the engineering and science sectors today.
