MMO/PAM Services

Marine Mammal Observers (MMOs) and Passive Acoustic Monitoring systems (PAM) are used to detect the presence of marine mammals during seismic surveys, and any other potentially harmful or disruptive acoustic activity in the marine environment.

RPS is at the forefront of training and supplying MMOs and the development of new PAM technologies and equipment. We have over 100 highly trained personnel and have provided several thousand man-days of coverage during marine operations.
