We are aware of the influence that we can have to support charitable and volunteer work through our company and endeavour to encourage these activities where practicable. Our staff are actively involved in a number of local and national charities and regularly get involved in sporting events, fundraising activities and volunteer work.

The company contributes through its local offices to community and charitable activities which are relevant to that community.

BITCI Schools Partnership with Business

Business in the Community is a not-for-profit membership organization which seeks to help companies meet their responsibilities towards society. In other words giving back something to the communities in which the organization works. Members are at the core of all that the organization do and work with them to develop good practice across four key areas. Environment, Workplace, Social Impact and Economic Impact.

In NI BICommunity have more than 220 companies as members representing 100,000 employees across all industry sectors.

Schools Business Partnership - This includes Student Mentoring and Skills at Work. The students learn about the world of work from individuals who work in the corporate world and the business world. The Skills at Work programme invites employees from local businesses to talk to students about real life skills required in the workforce, such as interview preparation and CV Writing.

STEPS Programme

The STEPS Partnership scheme 'twins' post-primary schools with Ireland's leading engineering, technology and science firms to facilitate student group visits. The scheme also aims to allow these 'twinned' parties to develop long lasting and beneficial relationships.

This part of the STEPS Programme aims to allow students to:

Visit Engineering, Technology and Science firms

Interact with Engineers in the working environment

Attend a presentation on 'Engineering as a Career'
