JOB TITLE: Site Maintenance Technician (1 Year Fixed Term Contract)
JOB PURPOSE: Provide maintenance support to plant and equipment
REPORT TO: RPS Engineering Services Supervisor
LOCATION: Independent Biomass Systems, Enniskeane, Co. Cork
START: Immediate – by Mid August
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:
- Carry out inspection/maintenance as detailed on maintenance task lists
- Responsible for all mechanical and electrical equipment, equipment uptime
and any other production equipment issues and safety.
- Ensure that all equipment pm`s are carried out both efficiently and safely.
- Provide updates to RPS Supervisor on all maintenance issues.
- Ensure your specific equipment has adequate spares in stores in the event of breakdown.
- Execute a continuous improvement ethic on all equipment and strive to improve the process.
- Co- ordinate with customer / sub contractors for all planned and un- planned events.
- Maximize the plant up time without impacting safety and quality
EXPERIENCE:
- Site experience in a similar role
- Good working knowledge of Boiler House systems and Turbine systems.
- Experience of high pressure steam systems (20 bar and above)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Senior Trades/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Validation Engineer
A Validation Engineer required for our client in the Kerry region. This will be a 4 month contract.
Scope of Work:
- The Validation Engineer will support the validation lead in the generation, Execution and review of validate protocols
- Liaise with the validation lead on all validation issues
- Manage validation documentation in line with the requirements of GMP and GAMP and all site SOP's.
- Support validation lead in the co-ordination of the commissioning activities
- Participate and/or support the validation lead in risk assessments
- Raise change controls and assess validation requirements for changes to equipment.
Experience/Skills:
- Recent (within last 3 years) experience of primary and secondary blister packaging experience particularly blister machines, vision systems and SCADA.
- Detailed knowledge of regulatory requirements for blister packaging.
- Relevant 3rd level qualification in an Engineering or Science related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years in a pharmaceutical environment.

Biotech Analytical Scientist
Biotech Analytical Scientist required for our leading Cork Client. This is a senior role and a PhD is required.
Core Responsibilities:
- Play a key scientific and leadership role in the development and delivery of analytical technologies, including HPLC/MS, GC/MS FTIR, RAMAN and NMR
- Support new product introductions, working within the client’s R&D centre to transfer analytical methodologies. This includes method development, optimisation and validation.
- Provide technical mentorship to Laboratory Analysts through expertise in a wide variety of assay methods, instrumentation and laboratory quality systems.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- A PhD or MSc in Analytical Chemistry or a related discipline. A postgraduate qualification in Analytical Chemistry would be advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in: the technology transfer of analytical methodologies from R&D to manufacturing and relevant mentorship/supervision experience.
- Development and validation of spectroscopic methods including hyphenated techniques.

Biotech Purification Engineer
A Biotech Purification Engineer required for our client in the Cork area.
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide primary loop technical support for primary recovery/filtration operations.
- Support technical transfer of processes into the operations/manufacturing environment.
- Partner with Engineering/Operations/Quality to troubleshoot processes and deliver on a continuous improvement agenda.
- Build a deep technical expertise in the area of responsibility. Develop strong data-driven decision-making processes.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- A degree-level qualification in Biochemical/Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience of API bioprocessing is required.
