Production Engineering
RPS Production Engineering experience ranges from single well completion performance studies, stimulations and artificial lift design; to full field optimization studies which may include both surface and subsurface system optimization. Typical examples include:
Hydraulic fracture design, programming and execution management for a number of tight gas, shale gas and CBM (coal bed methane) wells. Experience includes conventional & horizontal wells; multi-fracced horizontal wells; slick water fracs; and small to very large (>1 million lbs) sand volumes.
Development of an integrated production model (IPM) to achieve real time optimization of gas lift allocation for a large oilfield in Alaska. Integration of the network model with the operator’s production operational data systems was a key feature of this project.
Screening study to assess the suitability of multi-fracced horizontal well (MFHW) technology for tight gas plays in Alberta and British Columbia.
JIP with a consortium of 7 companies to investigate dewatering techniques for deep low-pressure gas wells, including data from 32 fields, 2300 wells and 900 dewatering applications in North America and UK
