RPS Britain Planning & Development

Education

Central to Government strategy on Education is the ethos that “Every Child Matters”, and therefore, a transformational agenda has been set in order to enable ongoing development of the learning process and teaching processes. Government is strongly committed to creating safe, inspirational, stimulating and inclusive learning environments which improve health, wellbeing and academic productivity of all users producing truly ‘access for all’ environments that consider physical, emotional and social needs.

RPS recognises that critical to the success of these initiatives and the delivery of learning needs, is the incorporation of interchangeable learning environments into the building form - a variety of large, small, open and enclosed spaces in which to learn, and the integration of social and ICT based e-learning spaces. We understand that we are not simply creating buildings; but are also striving to provide improved infrastructure to help raise educational standards and enhance links to the local community.

RPS has created an extensive portfolio of projects and has forged strong, valued relationships with local authorities, universities, colleges, secondary and primary schools nationally. We are extensively involved in the BSF programme nationally and are working with numerous schools to give advice on DfES strategies.

We have worked extensively in deprived areas and across multi-faith communities in all aspects of Education renewal and transformation, providing a full spectrum of design and complementary consultancy services. These projects have ranged from extensions and remodelling of existing facilities through to major new buildings and campus master-planning.
