Recognising that controlling the risk is the responsibility of many individuals, with differing roles and responsibilities, RPS tailor the training courses to meet the needs of these differing roles. Our courses, delivered by trainers with many years of practical experience in the area of legionella risk management, provide the core skills to enable the effective implementation of a risk management programme, so providing assurances that legislative compliance is being addressed.
Training courses cover all types of water system that pose a risk, as detailed within the Approved Code of Practice. Cooling towers provide the greatest risk in the control of the legionella bacteria. In this area RPS are able to provide a trainer who has over 15 years experience, 5 years of which were in the water treatment industry. This experience enables RPS to provide a complete overview of the risk posed by these systems from the engineering aspects through to chemical treatment programmes and importantly, how to control these risks.
