Integrated Projects
Our capabilities and experience spans the range from initial seismic, through field development planning, to ongoing production optimization, and allows us manage and execute large scale, integrated projects. Typical project examples include:
A junior oil company with a large exploration block in North Africa, where RPS provided seismic field supervision & QC; wellsite geology; drilling & completion design & supervision; well test design & analysis; field development conceptual planning including reservoir simulation studies; and preparation of the preliminary field development plan.
A very large (>2000 wells) oilfield operated by an international oil company in South America, where RPS has performed visualization studies to identify opportunities for production optimization during the remaining field life. Essentially a full field review of all available data, identification and techno-economic ranking of development options, and selection of preferred approach for further analysis.
A small operator in Kazakhstan where RPS designed and managed the seismic program; mapped the field; prepared resource & reserve recovery estimates; designed and managed the drilling, completion and testing program; and designed a heavy oil production pilot to assess a range of recovery mechanisms including CHOP (cold heavy oil production), CHOPS (cold heavy oil production with sand), and CSS (cyclic steam stimulation).
