Waste
The demand for Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) facilities is legislation driven with European Directives reducing the amount of waste that can go to landfill to 75% by 2010, 50% by 2013 and 35% by 2020. Failure to achieve these targets will result in heavy EU imposed fines on central government (and ultimately local authorities).
RPS’s expertise can be utilised as a whole package or cherry-picked for specialist requirements in the areas of appropriate technology, eg., thermal treatment, biological treatment, recovery of energy, etc. We can assist our clients with permitting and site searches, and with complex and controversial planning and environmental solutions.
We are then, also able to complete the
delivery of services through our detailed
architectural, civil/structural engineering
and mechanical/electrical engineering
design in the construction process.
