Town and Country Planning

The Industry Driver

Town Planning legislation is becoming increasingly complex; planning applications for development invariably needs to be underpinned by supporting technical information covering a range of topics including relationship to planning policy, development briefs, illustrative layouts and data analysis. Recent changes to the development plan system have been made by the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 which has introduced the concept of the local development framework and a greater emphasis on public consultation in the planning system. These combine to emphasise the importance of promoting potential development sites with local planning authorities at the earliest possible opportunity.
