The close proximity to the motorway networks allows easy access to all surrounding areas. The town is close to a number of upmarket Cheshire villages (home to many celebrated Cheshire millionaires) and not far from the Peak District in Derbyshire.

Public Transport links are well catered for with buses running regularly both locally and nationally. The rail links from the town are also good, with London accessible in 2 ¼ hours and Glasgow in 3 ½ hours.
