OHSAS 18001:2007 is a standard for Health and Safety management systems based on the existing guidance HSG 65 and BS 8800. Following its introduction in 2007, OHSAS 18001 represents the standard to be achieved in Health and Safety management, in the same way as ISO14001 is recognised as the standard in Environmental Management.
A short audit against the standard, will identify the elements of the organisation’s operation, which already satisfy the standard, and also highlight where the gaps exist. RPS can undertake a detailed review to identify and prioritise the significant factors affecting Health & Safety risk, and develop an action plan to help demonstrate continuous improvement in Health & Safety.
