Training is one of the cornerstones around which effective Health, Safety and Environmental Management is built. It is essential that personnel tasked with managing these issues are suitably trained and experienced to undertake their responsibilities.
We offer a range of Asbestos related Training Courses:
The Asbestos Awareness Course is designed to increase the general awareness of the potential presence of asbestos within the working environment and is particularly relevant to building managers and employees who may incur incidental exposure to asbestos containing materials during the course of their work activities.
The course is suitable for all employees and is delivered with a slightly informal approach using a combination of PowerPoint presentations, video and other course aids plus accompanying notes. To allow for effective training the course will accommodate a maximum of 15 delegates.
P402 Buildings Surveys and Bulk Sampling for Asbestos is a 3-day Asbestos course, which will consist of various presentations, videos and other course aids plus accompanying notes. This course is designed to provide delegates with an appreciation and understanding of the practice of surveying structures for the presence of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs). The P402 Asbestos course structure follows a modular style approach that will allow the delegates to gain knowledge of the relevant health and safety topics.
The course would be suitable to all those who need a minimum qualification to prove competence in surveying for asbestos within buildings. It includes assessed course work and concludes with a formal Multi-Choice Paper (MCP) examination, which takes place on the final day of the course.
P405 Management of Asbestos in Buildings is a 4-day course, which will consist of various PowerPoint presentations, videos and other course aids plus accompanying notes. This course is designed to provide delegates with the practical knowledge and skill to be able to manage asbestos within buildings and to audit asbestos removal projects.
This course would suit those who need a detailed awareness of problems presented by the presence of asbestos containing materials within buildings and those who will need to manage asbestos, such as Facility Managers and Safety Officers. The course concludes with a formal Multi-Choice Paper (MCP) examination. Passing the Course Work and examination leads to a BOHS award in this subject.
