Occupational Health
RPS Physicians are either Associates, Members or Fellows of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine at the Royal College of Physicians. Membership is awarded to doctors who have satisfactorily completed a prescribed period of supervised training in an approved post, and have submitted an acceptable thesis, dissertation or published work.
RPS Occupational Health Nurse Advisers are all registered nurses and specialist nurse practitioners who have met rigorous qualifying educational and experience standards in Occupational Health.
Our Occupational Health Technicians are trained to provide specific duties by standing order or protocol. Technician's can provide specific first aid triage, care and treatment and additional training allows performance of a number of health surveillance and screening procedures, for interpretation by our Nurses and Physicians. From September 2007, RPS Technicians undertake the 'Occupational Health for Technicians' Diploma, from Glamorgan University.
