Keystone XL Pipeline

Keystone XL Pipeline

TransCanada Corporation planned a major crude oil pipeline from Alberta to the US Gulf Coast. RPS’ Land Team worked with the client to acquire a right-of-way on the Canadian portion of the Project from Hardisty Alberta to Monchy Saskatchewan. In addition to acquiring the required land rights, the RPS Land Team also managed all other land management related functions such as Public Notification, Survey authorizations, landowner liaison, detailed routing, third-party crossings and encroachment, and the right-of-entry process. Highlights of the Project include obtaining survey access consent on 100% of the required lands, land acquisition through voluntary consent agreements on over 98% of the project lands and receiving the Order in Council on time to meet the original project construction schedule.
