Infrastructure
Infrastructure advice in changing climate
The London Office is increasingly involved in advising clients on major infrastructure projects
ranging from significant transport related infrastructure, such as Thameslink, to energy from
waste recovery plants.
RPS possesses the necessary planning expertise and EIA and project management capabilities to assist
clients in bringing forward much needed infrastructure projects.
These capabilities are combined with a thorough understanding of the planning issues associated with such projects and the differing regulatory regimes that often apply either alongside or in place of the need for planning consent.
In particular we have experience advising on new gas storage and importation infrastructure; a growth area due to recent changes within the energy market and declining North Sea gas production.

With the high levels of development activity across the UK, the need to bring forward development
in the major growth areas and the challenges presented by climate change and guaranteeing
uninterrupted energy supplies, there will be a continuing need for high levels of infrastructure
investment. RPS is well placed to assist clients in bringing forward such investment.
