Water Services Training

Water Services Training on behalf of the Water Services National Training Group for Local Authorities (led by Tipperary North County Council).

RPS provides water service training across the spectrum of water delivery requirements covering design, specialist knowledge, legislative requirements and their implementation and the use of software and tools for their delivery. This capability has been developed through the specialist expertise of our key staff, evolved by in-house training of staff in practical ‘live’ project situations and formalised CPD training. RPS has focused on developing specific tailor made training for our local authority clients in conjunction with the Water Services National Training Group via on the job project training and courses on the National Project Control System, Guidance on Preparation of Strategic Water Plans, and Hydraulic Modelling Use. Our track record in technical training has been particularly successful in Water Conservation and Demand Management including Leak Detection, Leakage Analysis and Targeting and DMA Design. Courses are designed to be practical in nature and deliver maximum return to our clients by equipping their staff to save water as efficiently as possible.

River Catchment Drainage Modelling

Health and Safety Legislation covering design and construction including acting as Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) / CDM Co-ordinator from our dedicated Health and Safety section.


In addition, we offer basic to professional training in sustainable urban drainage systems (SUDS), flood studies and design, water and wastewater treatment process design, plant commissioning and operation, procurement, environmental impact statements and strategic environmental assessments.
