The new Titanic Signature Building is a centerpiece and key catalyst in the regeneration of Belfast’s Titanic Quarter, and the economic recovery of Northern Ireland.
RPS successfully delivered a Flood Risk Masterplan, under the requirements of Planning Policy Statement 15, which provided a strategy to deal with the potential flood risk to this £3 billion, landmark development in Belfast. The work entailed a detailed assessment of fluvial flows on the River Lagan and a tidal and surge analysis of Belfast Lough for both the present day and 2100 epochs. This analysis provided the basis of a detailed flood risk masterplan, which ensured the long term sustainability of the proposed development against the effects of climate change.
