Our approach to sustainability appraisals is integral to the planning application process. RPS is experienced in responding to a wide number of local authority and regional sustainability checklists. Depending on the size of the project we undertake comprehensive sustainability appraisals, in line with best practice. Our sustainability experts filter national, regional and local sustainability criteria to a bespoke series of questions against which the appraisal seeks to demonstrate consistency of the development with the relevant policy and guidance, and the principles of sustainability.
