Acid Sulfate Soil Management - Australia
Many soils in Australia exhibit natural acidity and are poorly buffered. If disturbed by excavation or dewatering, they can release metal contamination including arsenic. RPS provides strategic advice regarding the management of such soils and can prepare the necessary management plans to enable approval to disturb them in a cost-effective and environmentally acceptable manner. We also design and implement neutralisation systems for acidic groundwater.
