Quality First in Occupational Health

01 July 2011

RPS is the second ever of only a few UK occupational health service providers to achieve SEQOHS accreditation. The Safe Effective Quality Occupational Health Services accreditation is a recognition of high quality of professional services that aims to raise standards and credit good works. The voluntary accreditation is managed by the Royal College of Physicians of London.

The accreditation has been awarded to RPS’ Occupational Health services in Mansfield, Ellesmere Port, Warrington, London and Elland, and is valid for five years. Accreditation application is voluntary and accreditation is subject to routine review to ensure a continuing compliance with set standards that have been developed in collaboration with a multi-agency, multi-disciplinary stakeholder group.

Standards are assessed in business probity, information governance, people, facilities and equipment, relationships with purchasers, and relationships with workers. The panel of experienced senior occupational healthcare professionals from SEQOHS praised the level of RPS’ occupational health services and held the Group as an exemplar service.

As a SEQOHS accredited service provider, RPS’ occupational health services can now use the SEQOHS logo on its documentation as an indicator of the Group’s excellent achievements in occupational health service delivery.
