Sequestration and EOR

CO₂ sequestration is an issue of global concern since it is a common by-product of many industries, and is widely accepted to be a major contributor to global climate change. RPS has been involved in screening the quality of a number of sequestration targets, evaluating their containment and storage capacities. This work is typically tailored to local standards and those presented by the CSLF Task Force on CO₂ Storage Capacity Estimation.

RPS also has the expertise to design well completions specific to the range of sequestration requirements; to incorporate considerations associated with CO₂ EOR potential; and to assist with the design and implementation of monitoring, measurement and verification (MMV) schemes. RPS can also provide guidance on risk assessment requirements for each
specific CO₂ scheme.
