In-House Geological Operations
RPS offers both in-house geological operations support as well as field well operations supervision for our clients. RPS has been offering our clients in-house geology operations personnel for over twenty years. The responsibilities of our operations personnel involve three phrases: the preplanning phase, the drilling phase and the post drill phase. The preplanning phase includes everything from the production of a geological well plan (geologic prognosis, sampling program, formation evaluation services) to organizing the bid process (gas detection, wireline logging, coring, wellsite geology), coordination with drilling departments, dealing with governmental organizatons and health & safety.
The drilling phase deals primarily with the liaison, communication and logistical support between the field personnel and the drilling and geological department within the operating company. The final phase, post drill phase, involves the organization of data to geologists, partners and the government. This phase can include assisting the project geologist in all areas of formations including samples, wireline logging, gas detection interpretation and cores.
All invoicing to the geological service companies is coordinated through the operations geologist.
