As a town planner and development strategy advisor with more than 17 years experience, Désirée is a pragmatic, commercially minded and efficient operator. She works with clients from the acquisition stage through to planning, operations and sales, achieving effective development strategies and approvals.

Skilled at ‘unpacking’ complex situations, Désirée is known for her ability to help clients achieve what others might have considered to be a ‘road block’. She thrives on problem solving and providing critical input at all project stages including due diligence, stakeholder engagement and management, brokering partnerships, and future proofing in terms of strategy, staging, long term land use and vibrant developments.

While she works across all projects types, Désirée has a personal interest and strong experience in renewal projects, and large residential and mix-use developments. She also enjoys working with government and the development industry to provide strategic level input into planning outcomes and policy.

Career highlights have included helping deliver Coomera Waters (2005 UDIA Consultant Award) and Fortitude Valley’s Emporium and City Gate, along with ongoing work with East Village, Coronation Drive Office Precinct, Trade Coast Central and proactive planning policy and recommendations for the Property Council of Australia and Retirement Living Council of Australia.

As Regional Technical Director for Planning with RPS, Désirée has a nationally-focused leadership role with regard to projects, people and the profession.

Louise is an experienced urban planner and development strategy advisor with close to 20 years’ experience in the industry. She leads the planning and strategic advisory team in RPS’ Sydney office.

Louise has worked within state and local governments and private consultancy which allows her to see complex development and planning issues from various vantage points and offer practical advice and solutions. Her expertise includes statutory and strategic planning, development assessment of major development applications across Sydney and coastal NSW, rezoning, due diligence and social and economic impact assessment. She has experience in the assessment of State significant sites for major residential and commercial projects along with urban renewal of former industrial sites.

Louise has a strong interest in social planning and the interplay between the built environment and the way communities interact within space and place.
