With a specialist team of contaminated land experts, asbestos assessors and acid sulphate soil specialists, along with research scientists, agricultural soil scientists, RPS has the expertise to provide a full spectrum of environmental soil services to our clients.

We have provided soil and contaminated land services for the land development, construction, mining and extractive industries, agricultural and heavy manufacturing sectors as well as government agencies. Our team offer a breadth and depth of knowledge and experience (both domestic and international) to deliver both technical and commercial advice to stakeholders on the identification, assessment and remediation of contaminated sites and deliver projects in an efficient and timely manner. With a team of professional scientists and a dedicated field services unit, RPS’ contaminated land services business unit is well resourced and structured to deliver effective and timely responses to our client’s requirements. The highly trained field services team can provide a rapid response to our client’s requests for on-ground support, enabling us to mobilise quickly to site, fully supported by our experienced HSE staff.

Our dedicated contaminated sites team has particular expertise in the design and supervision of remediation programs, using novel and innovative techniques to ensure rapid and low cost regulatory sign off. 


Asbestos and hazardous materials (HAZMAT) survey

RPS is an experienced and trusted provider of consultancy services for the provision of Hazardous Material (HazMat) Surveys, HazMat Management Plans and HazMat Removals Supervision and Monitoring in Western Australia. Materials that are typically identified during a HazMat survey include asbestos containing material, synthetic mineral fibres, lead-based paints, polychlorinated biphenyls in fluorescent lighting, transformers and caulking compounds, ozone depleting substances including chlorofluorocarbons and various other hazardous chemicals and substances. The RPS HazMat survey team have completed the following nationally accredited training courses:
