Wheatbelt Sub-Regional Economic Strategies, WA

RPS was engaged by the Wheatbelt Development Commission and LandCorp to prepare individual economic development strategies for the five sub-regions of the Wheatbelt. Covering over 50 LGAs including the Northam and Jurien Bay SuperTowns, the Economic Strategies seek to build upon previous analysis to consider sub-regional economic opportunities and challenges.

The relationship between the sub-regions and metropolitan Perth and the strategic position on major east-west and north-south national rail and road freight routes are key inputs while the influence of global macro-economic factors like food consumption, population ageing, transport and logistics networks and telecommunication technology improvements are all considered.
