Murray Darling Basin Authority LiDAR, National

This $4 million project involved LiDAR and aerial photography survey of 1,610 transects over the 1 million square kilometre Murray Darling River Basin. RPS then used automated GIS routines to produce over 90 environmental variables such as stream power, riparian vegetation composition, bank angle and in-channel debris. Collectively this data gave an objective and repeatable method of assessing river health over this food bowl of Australia.
