RPS has been appointed by the Department of Defence as Project Manager/Contract Administrator to upgrade and refurbish HMAS Stirling’s infrastructure and facilities in Western Australia.
The $366.8 Million project incorporates 25 project elements including all major engineering support systems, maritime structures, roads, water, fire protection, sewerage, sullage, electrical, data and communications services. The project will also refurbish a number of key facilities and reconfigure the base entrance.
To be delivered under a managing contractor contract, the project was approved by the Australian Government in 2015 and construction is planned to commence by mid-2017 for completion in early 2020.
Together with the Fleet Base Low Level Bridge Repairs project and the AIR 9000 Phase 8 MH-60R projects, RPS is delivering a significant program of works for Defence at HMAS Stirling.
