RPS has been engaged by Curtin University to help deliver legal industry-facilities that allow practicing legal professionals to be embedded within the tertiary education environment – in line with the University’s vision to develop Western Australia’s largest and most desirable law program and deliver job-ready graduates.
The project scope included the fitout of a prominent National Trust-managed building to provide state-of-art educational facilities, as well as private practice barrister offices and a legal clinic. One key constraint was that the design needed to maintain the heritage and cultural significance of the existing building, which included a historical association with the Stolen Generation.
The $3.5 million project was completed in time for the commencement of the 2016 teaching year.
RPS is delivering a number of other undertakings for the University, including the Curtin Connect and Cisco Internet of Everything Innovation Centre projects, as well as developing the University’s Project Guidelines.
