RPS provides a range of services to longstanding client Bunnings, playing a key role in the successful ongoing expansion of their network of Bunnings Warehouse stores. We have a strong record of successfully gaining town planning approvals for new warehouse stores and for expansion of existing stores throughout Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia at both in-centre and out-of-centre locations.
Bunnings stores typically involve a warehouse design integrating retail and trade aspects in one facility, with the racking system providing overhead bulk storage space, making efficient use of the retail floor area. Due to the operational characteristics of the Bunnings model and the large area of land required to accommodate the warehouse and associated car parking, the stores often need to be located on the fringe of existing centres or at out-of-centre locations. RPS has been able to assist with establishing a number of stores at such locations by undertaking catchment analysis to demonstrate economic need and impact.
Our key services to Bunnings include:
Upfront development potential, site constraints, concept design and application strategy advice
Economic need and impact assessments
Preparation, lodgement and management of town planning development applications through to decision
Car parking relaxation justifications
