RPS has added new capability and personnel to its South Australian team, with Project Management staff now on-the-ground in Adelaide.
RPS Executive General Manager – Project Management, Michael Owens, says growing a permanent project management presence locally will help RPS to better support clients who are capitalising on the many opportunities present in this growth market.
“South Australia is a bit of a quiet achiever, but there’s a significant pipeline of large-scale, long-term projects in development locally, particularly for the Australian Defence Force and related industries,” he says.
“SA has come to be known as the ‘Defence State’, and there’s significant investment going on in military ship building, submarine programs and support infrastructure. RPS is a market leader in project management for complex, high security projects, so expanding our presence into Adelaide is a natural move.”
Our project managers are already supporting defence industry organisations, projects and programs in South Australia, such as the recently completed Adelaide office fitout for Naval Group Australia – the Australian subsidiary of a French naval shipbuilding company – and the Department of Defence’s Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPV) and Future Frigates Facilities projects.
“RPS is continuing to grow its project management capability nationally and we now have specialists on-the-ground in all RPS state and territory capital city offices across Australia and New Zealand. We look forward to supporting our South Australian partners and assisting them to grow their businesses, the market and the state,” Michael concludes.
