Susan leads RPS' Planning and Development business across Australia, partnering with our development and infrastructure clients to set up projects for success. Our technical practices include economics, planning, surveying and mapping, urban design, landscape architecture and cultural heritage. We pride ourselves on being the best of breed in each of our practice areas and to deliver better value and integrated outcomes for clients when we work together.  
Susan is an economist with more than 25 years’ experience in strategic, commercial and business development roles in banking, infrastructure and consulting industries, most recently as the Director of Brilliant Cities for AECOM. She is excited about growing the RPS brand as a leading firm in our field through strong partnerships and performance.

John Tompson

As Chief Executive Officer, John leads RPS’ network of more than 1,000 professionals working across the Australia Asia Pacific (AAP) region.

Since becoming CEO in 2003, John has grown our Australian operations significantly through the strategic acquisition of specialist project management, urban growth and infrastructure advisory practices.
Widely respected for his pragmatic and professional approach to business, John’s leadership has seen RPS diversify to encompass technical services and disciplines across all phases of the project lifecycle - from investigation and initiation, to design and project delivery.

Prior to his work at RPS, John was the Managing Director of Hydrosearch –the first Australian company to join the RPS network in 2003. Throughout his career he has held senior client- and consultant-side roles with public and private organisations, including seven years at Australia’s largest dedicated oil and gas company, Woodside Energy.
John draws on the experience and relationships he has built over many years to facilitate new growth opportunities for RPS while encouraging a truly client-centred service culture.

Shane is an experienced environmental scientist and environmental engineer with specialist expertise in environmental assessments, contamination, acid sulfate soils, hydrology and hydrogeology.

Peter Egerton

Peter has been part of the urban design and planning profession for 25 years, and currently leads the urban design team for RPS. Peter is based in Brisbane, but has a wider perspective from leading projects from Sydney to Port Douglas and New Zealand to Western Australia.

Peter’s focus is integrating design and planning expertise with sustainable development practices, to create successful urban spaces where people live, work and visit. His strong network of positive working relationships with government and industry, together with his communication and technical skills, have been critical to the success of his large body of work.

As a design professional, and business leader, Peter strives to make a positive contribution in the communities he influences, and ensure outcomes are enduring, sustainable and memorable.

Ross Thompson

As Chief Operating Officer for RPS in Australia and the Asia Pacific, Ross works with the leaders of our operational teams to drive business efficiency, growth and success. He brings a wealth of experience leading highly successful organisations and teams across the UK, Middle East, Australia and Asia Pacific.
After a career in the British military where he achieved the rank of Army Captain, Ross joined the corporate world in 2005 driving the development of leading professional services brands in Australia and internationally.
Combining his business and leadership skills with a lifelong passion for sport, Ross was engaged by the Abu Dhabi Government in 2008 to manage the establishment of Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management; a role that saw him contribute to the development of the multi-billion Yas Marina Circuit and first ever Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
A proven expert in high growth business-to-business consultancy development, Ross joined RPS in January 2017 following long-term appointments as Group Operations Manager and Emerging Markets Manager at ASX 200-listed engineering and environmental services firm, Cardno.
In addition to his leadership role at RPS, Ross is Non-Executive Director of Queensland Rugby Union.

Stuart Roberts

A key member of our organisation’s leadership team for more than a decade, Stuart has overseen RPS financial operations in the Australia Asia Pacific region since transferring from RPS’ European team in 2010.
As Chief Financial Officer, Stuart leads a large team of finance professionals who support our company’s six business units to deliver high quality services to clients in the urban growth, energy, mining, infrastructure and natural resource sectors.
Working closely with our executive management team, Stuart oversees all AAP financial reporting inputs to the London Stock Exchange and shareholders, management reporting, budgeting and business planning to support business profitability and growth, risk and compliance, property management and the integration of acquired companies to RPS financial and reporting protocols.
Drawing on his many years of experience in audit, management consultancy and corporate finance, Stuart has been integral to the successful acquisition of a number of Australian companies by RPS in recent years.

Meegan Sullivan

Meegan is responsible for developing, communicating and coordinating strategic plans and initiatives for the growth and success of RPS in Australia and Asia Pacific (AAP).
Meegan has over 20 years' experience in project planning and delivery, business strategy, project positioning, communication and engagement strategies, issues and risk management within the infrastructure sector. She has held business and people leadership positions for nearly 15 years, with significant experience both within a state-owned corporation and privately owned companies.

Meegan's professional services consulting experience extends across Australia, with various positions held in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland. She has led, delivered and advised on projects including Melbourne’s Regional Rail Link, Melbourne Metro Tunnel and East West Link Public Private Partnerships, Brisbane’s Airport Link, Gold Coast’s Rapid Transit project and Sydney’s Desalination Project. 

Meegan has also been involved in several successful alliances over the last decade and has sat on alliance leadership teams for the Rail Systems Alliance (Regional Rail Link), Sydney Water’s Priority Sewerage Program, North Head Sewage Treatment Improvements and SewerFix Wet Weather Alliances.

Leading the national Landscape Architecture team at RPS, Andrew concentrates his energy on improving open space in Australia’s urban environments and contributing to the vitality of city life. This has been demonstrated throughout his career on award-winning projects including the South Bank Institute of Technology, SW1, and Townsville Riverway all of which reflect a global movement towards sustainable landscape architecture.

Studying at the Queensland University of Technology, Andrew received the Australian Institute of Landscape Architect’s Karl Langer Award upon graduation in 1992. His professional experience began in Brisbane over 20 years ago. Andrew is an active member of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects, chairing both the Karl Langer Award Panel and the Queensland Registration Board, and a regular guest critic at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane.
