North Tees and Hartlepool Hospital OBC
RPS delivered a full outline business case for this new development under the P21 procurement route with 1.200 layouts, schematics, M&E equipment locations, Energy Centre layouts and site services. We also completed a full energy and sustainability options report in a 20 week period.
The OBC delivered a scheme that was carbon neutral and with a BREEAM excellent rating. This was achieved using extensive thermal modelling and simulation to validate natural ventilation and daylighting strategies.
The energy demands of the site are met by onsite generation of heat and electrical power utilising Biomass CHP Plant incorporated into an Energy Centre, this will also house conventional heat and power generation equipment on an n+1 basis.
