RPS is advising on the implementation of a 10 year programme of investment at both AWE Aldermaston and Burghfield. This includes consolidating existing activities in new facilities and various environmental and transport improvements, necessitating a series of major planning applications following removal of Crown Immunity.

50 RPS staff from assorted offices work on the project at any one time providing town planning, transportation, environmental assessment, landscape design/visual assessment, land contamination/characterisation, ecology and recreational surveys.

To provide a framework for individual applications, RPS prepared a Site Development Context Plan and Strategic Sustainability Assessment.
